Juno Temple is an English actress and model. A prolific actress, largely in American productions, her roles include the films Atonement, St Trinian’s, Wild Child, Year One, Cracks, Kaboom, Dirty Girl, The Three Musketeers (2011), The Dark Knight Rises, The Brass Teapot, Killer Joe, Jack & Diane, Afternoon Delight, Magic Magic, Horns, Maleficent, and its sequel; Sin City: A Dame to Kill For, Safelight, Meadowland, Far from the Madding Crowd, Len and Company, Black Mass, Away (2016), One Percent More Humid, Wonder Wheel, Unsane, The Pretenders, Lost Transmissions, and Palmer, and the series Vinyl, Dirty John, Little Birds, Ted Lasso, Mr. Corman, and The Offer.

She is the daughter of film director Julien Temple and film producer Amanda Pirie. Both of her parents are of English, and some Scottish, ancestry. Her aunt, Nina Temple, was a politician, who was the last Secretary of the Communist Party of Great Britain. Juno is descended from nobility on her mother’s side. She was raised in Taunton, Somerset.

Juno’s paternal grandfather was named Landon Roy Temple. Landon ran Progressive Tours, and was a Communist Party of Great Britain member.

Juno’s paternal grandmother was Barbara J. Rainnie (the daughter of Hedley Graham Rainnie and Catherine/Katherine Moir Harkness). Barbara was born in West Ham, Essex, England. Hedley was born in West Derby, Lancashire, England, to a Scottish father, James Muckle Rainnie, of Edinburgh, and to an English mother, Emma Jane Spashett, who was born in Romford, Essex. Catherine was born in West Ham, Essex, England, also to a Scottish father, John Moir Harkness, from Glasgow, and to an English mother, Ellen Lawson, from Liverpool.

Juno’s maternal grandfather was James William Gordon Pirie (the son of Gordon Murray Pirie and Margaret Joyce “Peg” Miller/Millar). Juno’s great-grandfather Gordon was the son of James Gordon Pirie and Charlotte Capon Murray.

Juno’s maternal grandmother was Idina Caroline Peacock (the daughter of Hugh Myddelton Peacock and Marjorie Eva Brassey). Idina was born in Paddington, London, England. Hugh was the son of Hugh Peacock. Marjorie was the daughter of Edgar Hugh Brassey and Margaret Harriet Trefusis.
