Today marks ten years since the very first High School Musical movie premiered on the Disney Channel in the UK.

The movie franchise starring Zac Efron and Vanessa Hudgens as Troy Bolton and Gabriella Montez was a massive hit around the world and Disney went on to make another two movies with the third instalment being made for the cinema.

High School Musical 3: Senior Year was released in 2008 two years after the first movie and went on to take almost $300m worlwide.
