Sarah Close unveils new single 'Caught Up', taken from her debut EP released today

Sarah Close has unveiled her new single ‘Caught Up’, the title track and second to be released from her debut EP which drops today.

‘Caught Up’ is a cry of defiance against a bloke “trying to get me naked by getting me wasted”. The song is full of clever, tongue-twisting lyrics and puts Sarah firmly on the map of artists that you immediately need on your radar. Her falsetto falls perfectly over a tight keyboard loop, creating a slick electronic groove.

The track follows on from her debut single, ‘Call Me Out’, which gave us an insight into the kind of music we could expect from Sarah. It has since amassed over 2 million worldwide streams and almost 800K YouTube views in less than two months. It also reached number one in the UK, Australia and Ireland viral Spotify chart.

The Caught Up EP was also released today, containing ‘Caught Up’, ‘Call Me Out’ and two new tracks. ‘Perfect After All’ and ‘Maestro’ round off the EP, showcasing Sarah’s unique blend of synth, piano and acoustic sounds.

In a few days time, on April 18, Sarah will play her first UK headline show at London’s Camden Assembly. The show sold out in a staggering 60 seconds, causing Sarah to announce a second show at London’s Heaven on June 9.

Sarah has garnered support from the likes of Radio 1’s Adele Roberts and Cel Spellman, as well as grime artist JME, however, she also has an incredible fanbase. Her online support is incredible, with fans from as far and wide as Australia and New Zealand sending her EP rocketing up their respective charts.

With a refreshing honesty and a unique take on music, Sarah Close is very much a musician we can all relate to. We can’t wait to here more from her in the future.

Caught Up is available now.
