This is for North Korea 2026 Sepp Blatter showered with money in FIFA press conference stu

FIFA Sepp Blatter was showered with cash in a bizarre stunt during a press conference in Zurich in Monday afternoon.

English comedian Simon Brodkin, best known by spoof personalities Lee Nelson and Jason Bent, appeared in front of cameras and handed over a wad of fake American dollar bills, saying: ‘this is for North Korea in 2026’.

The incident occurred as the president of world football's governing body prepared to give details of the February 26 presidential election, which was announced earlier the same day.

Blatter, who revealed at the start of June that he would be standing down as president of FIFA, was about to address the world's media in Zurich when Brodkin interrupted proceedings before being hauled away by security staff.

A shaken Blatter left the stage and an official from the world governing body revealed that the press conference would be delayed.

It’s not the first time Brodkin has stolen the headlines, with the 38-year-old - dressed in what apperead to be a FA-issued suit - arrested for attempting to board the England team plane bound for Brazil last summer.

He also landed himself in trouble for joining Manchester City players in full kit for their warm-up ahead of their Premier League clash with Everton in March 2013, and interrupted Kanye West’s headline set at Glastonbury this year.

Blatter's personal security were slow to react to his stage invasion, and Brodkin - using his Jason Bent alias - even had time to promote his appearance on social media just minutes after the incident.
